Gold Coast Photographs from Above
The beautiful Gold Coast in Australia has always been a must for tourists. High-rise apartment buildings cram the skyline and have typically been for holiday makers, who stay a few days, or even a few weeks.
Recently, I was lucky enough to be invited into the home of a family living at the Gold Coast, in a new residential high-rise. And the view is amazing!!
This new breed of structure is growing all over Surfer’s Paradise. It’s becoming quite the place to live. Here is a view, at sunset, facing north towards Brisbane:
They say that one gets used to a view like this - I’m not so sure about that. If you do, then it’s time to take a step back and re-look at the stunning vista you wake up to everyday. What a landscape!
The sun sets to the West, behind the mountains at the back of this apartment (of which there is also a view from the spare bedrooms). So, the sunrise coming up out of the ocean’s horizon would be incredible.
This is a photo of the southern aspect - looking down towards the state of New South Wales:
That enormous skyscraper standing over the others is the Q1 building. Currently the 21st tallest building in the world, it has 77 floors, and has one of the world’s tallest spires. There is an observation deck on level 77, with the world’s fastest elevator taking you there in 43 seconds, for 360 degree views. It is a very nice visit, and there’s even a bar up there, so you can enjoy your visit in style.
The Gold Coast is certainly quite a place!
