Emotional Blackmail on Film!

Published by Alpha Murgev at 1:00 am under Portrait Photography

Isn’t it amazing how some people just know how to “hit” you to get the most emotional impact?  I think for some it’s an innate gift.  It certainly is for…

my dog, who really thinks she’s human.  Recently I went away for the weekend, where she wasn’t really allowed, and had to bring my own linen.  As soon as Mirabell (the dog/human wannabe) saw the big suitcase being piled up with cosy blankets and doonas, she did what anyone who didn’t want to be left behind would do:

She jumped in the suitcase!

Getting photographs of Mirabell used to be extremely difficult, until she realised that the camera coming out meant more attention.  She even lets me play with the Manual settings before taking the photo now.  Previously, I had to put the camera in Auto and hope for the best - just to make sure I got the shot!

So, anyway, to complete her (fruitless) act of emotional blackmail, she decided to go for the gold medal pose:

I actually did try and figure out a way that she could come along, but in the end, it just wasn’t possible.  At least there are some funny photos to come out of it!
