A Dog’s Day at the Beach
I’m sure you’ve heard of the expression ‘it’s a dog’s life’. Well, that was extremely evident this past weekend at the beach. I have never seen so many dogs romping around in the surf!
Here is a funny pair just waiting for their owner to throw the ball so they can see who is fastest. This is a great place to get some action shots. I’ll make a mental note to go back with my SLR, telephoto lens and tripod. I might look a little conspicuous, but maybe if I wear seaweed on my head???
Unfortunately, I didn’t have my telephoto lens with me, or a polarising filter, so the photos are a little “bright”and hazy. But, you still get the idea.
Big dogs, little dogs, medium sized dogs, little dogs who think they are big dogs… You name it, that type of dog was there. They were all off leash and interacting extremely harmoniously. And who wouldn’t, with this backdrop - the Gold Coast:
Us humans could really take a leaf out of the book of dogs sometimes. Life’s simple pleasures make them inordinately happy. It was fun to watch.
Two dogs having a romp in the ocean - what a wonderful site!
