Beach Sunset

The most beautiful beach sunset I’ve ever seen was in Bali, amazingly enough.  Hawaii comes a close second, but it’s magical watching the sun come sun and watch the ocean swallow it up.

Living on the east coast of Australia, it’s also a novelty.  I generally see the sun rise out of the ocean, not set into it.

Regardless though, a tripod is a must when even attempt to photograph a sunset - unless you have the balcony rail of the local surf club at your disposal…

New Discoveries

Have you ever been to a city and thought you’d seen pretty much all there was to see, and done nearly all there was to do?

Well, that’s how I felt about Sydney, until recently.  I’ve been visiting Sydney for short breaks for the last 20 years, and have stayed with relatives and friends, and been shown around places that the regular tourist wouldn’t necessarily get to see.

A Rooster at the Beach?

Now this was a really odd sight, and one of those moments you really want to have a camera handy!  I’m not sure if this is a normal occurrence for other beaches around the world, but growing up near Australia’s Gold Coast, I have never seen any kind of fowl at the beach.  Yet, at Hawaii’s Hanauma Bay, that’s exactly what I saw…
