Surfing Competition Sunset Beach
Thursday, January 29th, 2009Sports photography is another skill entirely. In a previous post I talked about needing the right equipment for underwater photography - the same goes for sports photography.
I rocked up to a surfing competition thinking my 480mm lens would cut it. Not even close! There were so many professional and amateur photographers at Sunset Beach Hawaii, and nearly all had pro or semi-pro serious telephoto lenses (minimum 600mm) attached to their cameras, on tripods.
