Valentine’s Day

It’s the one day every year specifically set aside to remind people to acknowledge their partner, and those special people in your life. Not that there should need to be a day for this, but considering how fast-paced life has become, I suppose we all need a reminder.

This year I had a lovely surprise - the first time I ever received flowers on Valentine’s Day (not counting the flowers my mother sent me one year when I was in high school… Yes, I realise how sad that sounds). Not just any flowers, but red roses…

Reasons to Always have a Camera with You

In our busy modern world there always seems to be something happening. These occurrences don’t always require a photograph to be taken, but think of what you could miss out on if you didn’t have a camera handy!

Recently my mother was in a pretty bad car accident. Having safely deposited her at home, I had to drive over an hour away to get all the stuff out of her mangled car. That trip was unexpected, so I didn’t have a camera on me - except for my phone camera, at 2 megapixels (better than nothing I guess)…

Quick Photo Restoration

In the ‘old’ days of film photography, photos were printed in monochrome, on paper that didn’t really stand the test of time. These images are still cherished memories, and can be easily improved, while not completely restored to their former ‘glory’.
